Business was certainly up with 49% or 17 respondents reporting that their location had more customers from a year earlier. Fourteen or 40% stated business as the same and only 4 or 11% reported slower business, due mostly to the dire weather. Twenty or 57% of respondents stated that both parts and services constituted their business and 15 or 43% said they only sold parts. Asked what was most often purchased at their store and 20 or 57% of representatives said they sold parts such as alternators, hoses, breaks and belts. Twelve or 34% said they sold maintenance items such as anti-freeze, oil, lubricants and wiper blades. Two respondents or 6% said the bulk of their business came from tire sales while one or 1% stated power tools.
