AKNS - 58% of Respondents say Solar Panel Prices will Drop this Year
Akeena Solar Inc. was polled this week after the company was reported to bring a solid solar community model to Orange County, CA. Nineteen stores were consulted and respondents were asked what do they sell mostly, what is the best-selling Sunpower brand product and does the respondent foresee the price of solar panels dropping this year? We learned that 31% of respondents say that residential solar panels sell best, 26% cite commercial solar panels, 21% say it is commercial solar roof tiles and 11% cite residential solar roof tiles. The 210 Solar Roof Panels are the best selling according to 26%. The 305 was cited by 21%. 16% say it is the 230 and 16% say the Suntile is most popular. But prices should drop. 58% reckon that prices will slump later this year. Only 32% say these will stay as they are.
